Helping Keep the Independent Broker, Independent!

 Joseph Klarman

I joined Russell Jones Real Estate in 2001. I became designated broker (the first in over 30 years and only the 3rd in Russell Jones Real Estate's history) in 2008. Before taking on the role as Designated Broker, I grew up in the real estate business in California; and have tracked several markets and learned an eclectic negotiating style throughout my career. I graduated from San Diego State University where I studied business and received a degree in Liberal Studies followed by a Teaching Credential. In college I managed apartment buildings and upon graduation began purchasing real estate property. I owned apartments while working as a teacher in the San Diego School District. Having been a teacher, I acquired the skills to translate information into an easily understood form. This ability still helps me to manage and set into place all of the moving pieces necessary for transactions to be successful. I have also developed several townhomes and single family homes in Seattle and was the Principal of a small Seattle Based Development Company. I partnered and invested with Seattle Developers and built single family and multi family homes throughout the King County area. When I am not working in the office and not working with clients, I enjoy interacting with the business community and supporting my local non profit organizations. I have been a board member at Hillel UW, founding member for a resource library for the Deaf, Deaf-Blind, and hard of hearing. I am an ally of the LGBT community. My passion  is facilitating new relationships and I believe in a unique cooperative team model among my clients, partners, and associates.
