Our office was founded in 1946. Russell Jones Real Estate is one of the oldest independent Real Estate firms in Seattle and one of the oldest businesses on Broadway in Capitol Hill. Russell Jones, the founder of Russell Jones Real Estate was an early champion of what's now called fair housing. Russell Jones worked to expose redlining and eliminate "restrictive covenants" that hampered opportunities for people of color (as well as sexual orientation and religion) who wanted to buy homes on Capitol Hill and surrounding neighborhoods. Our office continues this tradition by supporting and being advocates for many diverse communities, including our LGBTQ and Deaf, Deaf-Blind and hard of hearing neighbors.

I joined Russell Jones Real Estate in 2001. I became designated broker (the first in over 30 years and only the 3rd in Russell Jones Real Estate's history) in 2008. Before taking on the role as Designated Broker, I grew up in the real estate business in California; and have tracked several markets and learned an eclectic negotiating style throughout my career. I graduated from San Diego State University where I studied business and received a degree in Liberal Studies followed by a Teaching Credential. In college I managed apartment buildings and upon graduation began purchasing real estate property. I owned apartments while working as a teacher in the San Diego School District.
